Use ORCID and verify it in MinIT

To disseminate research and make it accessible, identifiers such as doi-links for publications and ORCID for researchers are indispensable. By specifying doi-link and ORCID when you describe your research, it becomes easier to create a common thread that links different types of research results in your research process. You simply become clearer as a researcher. Today, more than 1,700 LiU researchers have an ORCID and more and more journals and research funding bodies use ORCID to identify you as a researcher.

Make sure to verify your ORCID so that you are more clearly linked to LiU! LiU now has better support to facilitate those who want to use ORCID. On the page My profile in the MinIT system you can verify your ORCID. If you do not already have an ORCID, you will have the opportunity to create one in the process. The university library will automatically be able to use your ORCID in DiVA so that you are more easily linked to your publications.

För att sprida forskning och göra den tillgänglig är identifierare som doi-länkar för publikationer och ORCID för forskare oumbärliga. Genom att ange doi-länk och ORCID när du beskriver din forskning blir det lättare att skapa en röd tråd som kopplar ihop olika typer av forskningsresultat i din forskningsprocess. Du blir tydligare som forskare, helt enkelt. Idag har fler än 1 700 LiU-forskare ett ORCID och allt fler tidskrifter och forskningsfinansiärer använder ORCID för att identifiera dig som forskare.

Se till att verifiera ditt ORCID så att du kopplas tydligare till LiU! LiU har nu ett bättre stöd för att underlätta för den som vill använda ORCID. På sidan Mina uppgifter i MinIT kan du verifiera ditt ORCID. Om du inte redan har ett ORCID får du möjlighet att skapa ett i processen. Biblioteket kommer automatiskt att kunna använda ditt ORCID i DiVA så att du lättare kopplas till dina publikationer.

News about library publishing agreements

Linköping University Library has agreements with publishers that give LiU authors a discount on publishing charges when publishing in a number of Open Access journals. For 2022, the Library has signed three new publishing agreements. There have also been modifications in some existing agreements.

The new agreements are with Association for Computer Machinery (ACM), Nature journals, and, from the 1st of February, Public Library of Science (PLoS).

The existing agreements with Taylor & Francis and Oxford University Press have been expanded to include pure Open Access journals (previously, these agreements covered only hybrid journals). The agreements with American institute of Physics (AIP) and Springer now include bigger publishing catalogues than previously. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) agreement now also includes the pure OA journal RSC Advances.

Publishing agreements usually cover a selection of journals from each publisher. Use the search service SciFree to search specific journals to see if they are covered by an agreement. The SciFree search box can be found at the page linked above.

Some agreements cover the whole article processing charge (APC), others give authors a discount. In the latter case, the corresponding author pays the remaining amount.

Om bibliotekets publiceringsavtal

Förändringar i bibliotekets publiceringsavtal och saker som är viktiga att tänka på

Efter årsskiftet så finns det förändringar i bibliotekets publiceringsavtal. För 2022 har biblioteket dels tecknat tre nya avtal där publicering ingår och dels har det tillkommit förändringar i redan existerande avtal.

Nytt för 2022 är avtal med Association for computer machinery (ACM), Nature journals och från och med första februari Public Library of Science (PLoS).

Nytt i redan existerande avtal är att avtalen med Taylor & Francis och Oxford University Press har utökats till att täcka även rena OA-tidskrifter från att tidigare endast ha täckt hybridtidskrifter. Vidare har avtalen med American institute of Physics (AIP) och Springer utökats med en större katalog att publicera i under respektive avtal. För Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) gäller sedan årsskiftet att avtalet även täcker den rena OA-tidskriften RSC Advances.

Viktigt att tänka på är att läsa all information som finns om avtalen på sidan Bibliotekets publiceringsavtal.

Vidare är det ofta ett urval av tidskrifter från respektive förlag som ingår i avtalen, använd bibliotekets söktjänst SciFree för att avgöra om den tidskrift som du är intresserad av finns med i något av bibliotekets avtal. Söktjänsten hittar man på mitten av sidan länkad ovan.

Det varierar om avtalet täcker hela APC:n (article processing charge) eller om den ger forskaren en rabatt på avgiften. För de avtal där publiceringsavgiften endast är rabatterat genom avtalet kommer corresponding author faktureras resterande belopp.

Re:Publish your book – LiU E-Press e-publish out-of-print books by LiU authors

Did you know that LiU E-Press can republish your book if it´s out of print?

If you are an author/co-author to a book or editor/co-editor to an anthology which is not published by the original publisher anymore, you can make the book available at LiU E-Press. If the book is only available in print format we will help you scan the book.

Requirements?

Re:publish your book

  • You are or were employeed/affiliated at LiU at the time when the book was written
  • The publisher restored the copyright to you or gave you the rights to publish the book open access at LiU E-Press
  • You give us the book in the following format:
    • PDF or DOCX
    • A printed copy that we can scan (the spine of the book will be cut in the process)
  • You (and co-authors etc) sign a publishing agreement with us and attach the confirmation from the publisher.
